Our Beers
As a genuine Free House, we are fortunate to be able to sell our own choice of interesting beers, some brewed only a few miles from The Lamb.  As well as our signature Leaping Lamb Bitter, brewed for us by Loddon, we offer one of the widest selections of real ales in the Henley-on-Thames area.  Our efforts were rewarded when we won the CAMRA Pub of The Season award in Spring 2010 for being the best pub in South Oxfordshire. Our bitters come straight from a climate-controlled cellar, ensuring the perfect drinking temperature all year round.  We hold the Cask Marque accreditation and various qualifications in good cellar-keeping, and pride ourselves on serving the perfect pint  - taste, presentation, temperature.  No pints of flat dishwater here!

For the uninitiated, free samples are always available, and our staff are always available to offer tasting notes and make suggestions. Find Chris if you want to argue about the case for or against sparklers, swan necks, size of heads and the perfect cellar temperature.  We are always open to suggestions for interesting future guest ales, and our bitters can be served in traditional handled ‘dimple’ pint glasses on request.

We serve three regular beers, plus an additional guest ale, and are adding more handpumps all the time.  We have a very close relationship with the local Loddon Brewery, and recently held Loddon Week at The Lamb, serving 8 of their beers.  Recent and forthcoming guest selections from around the country include beers from Jennings, Black Sheep, Adnams, Loddon, Gales, Timothy Taylor's, Theakstons, Tetley's, Batemans, Ringwood, Harvey's, Marstons, Everards and many more.

We also always stock a selection of bottled Loddon beers including Hullabaloo, Hocus Pokus and Ferryman's Gold.

CAMRA members are always especially welcome at The Lamb – please make sure you say hello when you visit us. We are already listed in the Good Beer and Good Pub guides.  We will be holding The Lamb’s first beer festival in 2010 and well as a second beer tasting night with Loddon – watch this space.

Lager, Stout and Cyder
For those more worldly-wise in the lager world, our carefully selected draught continental lagers Amstel and Peroni represent the best of their standard and premium categories. We also offer draught Marston's Oyster Stout, and Aspall's Suffolk Cyder.

The Lamb at Satwell is not just for diners, so here is a special promotion for those who enjoy an early evening pint of bitter.  Why not come and join us on your way home from work (or anywhere else for that matter!) and take advantage of this offer that gives you a free pint for every two you consume?

Just bring along the current edition of Soxon Ale, and show our advert to a member of staff, who will stamp it every time you buy a pint between 6pm and 7pm Monday to Friday.  Once you have two stamps, you qualify for a voucher for a free pint, which may be consumed on the same day, or on a future visit between the same times.  Best of all, you can use this offer as many times as you like.  As we change our guest ales almost every day, there will always be something special available, including our best selling Leaping Lamb Bitter, brewed especially for The Lamb at Satwell.
